It is Friday, that day of the week that everyone waits with anticipation. When I am not reading a book, I love flicking through magazine pages full of color, fashion and new trends. No one does fashion better than Vogue.
On February's British cover, Georgia May Jagger poses for Patrick Demarchelier in a denim jumpsuit by Balmain (available at Harrods). The model who is currently the face of Rimmel and the Just Cavalli fragrance first appeared on the cover in November 2009.
Have a great weekend!

I was so excited to attend the other day the unveiling of Tom Dixon's brand new shop in Harrods on the 3rd floor. Tom Dixon is a British design and manufacturing company of lighting and furniture and it has been named as "Maison and Objet's" Designer of the Year 2014. I was fascinated by the unique lighting products on display and my favorite home accessory was of course the candles. The man himself was there to talk us through the company's range and introduce us to its unique pieces.
Here is a little taste of what you can find in the store.

So last week, I popped into the library and got some new material for my precious reading moments. I borrowed F. S. Fitzgerald's Popular Girl and M. Kundera's Ignorance. I will never understand people who read books on their kindle. For me this is a no no. I want to feel the book as I am reading it. I get high by simply turning a book's pages and even higher by bringing it close to me and smelling it. What can beat this feeling?
I have just finished The Popular Girl, a wonderfully written collection of 5 short stories. This was my first time reading Fitzgerald and I thoroughly enjoyed his writing and stories.
The second book that I have chosen, Ignorance by M. Kundera was written in 1999 in French and was published in 2000. It was translated into English in 2002 by Linda Asher, for which she was awarded the Scott Moncrieff Prize the following year.
The book's plot goes like this:
Irena and Josef meet by chance while returning to their homeland, which they had abandoned twenty years earlier. The novel examines the feelings instigated by the return to a homeland, which has ceased to be a home. In doing so, it reworks the Odyssean themes of homecoming. The novel explores and centers around the way that people have selective memories as a precursor to ignorance. The concept of ignorance is presented as a two-fold phenomenon, in which ignorance can be willing action that people participate in, such as avoiding unpleasant conversation topics.
This is such an interesting read and I hope I put you into some nice thoughts. For all of you who enjoy reading here is a list with the 100 greatest novels of all time that I found in the Guardian. It's worth checking how many you have read and which ones you would like to read. Sounds like a fun game to me!
Have a great day and Happy Reading!

One thing that I love doing to my outfits is innocent color injections just to brighten things up. Living in a country where the weather is so dull and you have to wear quite lots of clothes to keep you warm isn't it fun not to opt for the common black, grey or brown coat but instead go for a bright one? That was exactly my thinking a few days ago while doing some shopping at Harrods. I had spotted this beautiful, elegant, blue coat by M Missoni since like forever and I was playing daisy petals: Should I or shouldn't I? (buying it that is).
At the end the positive answer won over the negative (just because I am a positive person and I can't help it really in matters of such importance).
I had my comfortable sneakers on and I just enjoyed a long walk around the area. Just before I returned home, I popped into the library for some more book "fuel" (more on the books I have chosen and I am currently reading on my next post).

Tibi is an American fashion company based in New York City. It was founded by Amy Smilovic in 1997. Amy partnered with another American, Octavia Hyland whose grandmother's name is Tibi.
Part of the label's appeal is that it stays ahead of the contemporary curve. Tibi designer, Amy couldn't have explained her new lineup better: "This is the culmination of things. We've been stripping the clothes back to make them clean and minimal, and now that this platform has been set, we added on to it and brought in more femininity."
Here is a sneak peak of the label's RTW Collection for Spring 2014.
Have a great week and always remember this:

One lazy evening, a few days ago I was chatting with my friend Manveen and I didn't even realize how our conversation led to the Zara Sale - dangerous waters! I confessed with some kind of guilt that I hadn't had a chance to check the sale yet - not even online. As we were chatting along, my friend ordered the skirt that she had been longing for and after giving my seal of approval for the purchase, wild thoughts started spinning in my head:
I should go and try some clothes on.
I am sure I will find something and it is so worth it since the prices are so low.
So the next day, I popped into Zara's amazing store in Knightsbridge. It was late in the afternoon which meant that the store was not very busy so one could browse pleasantly. My fitting room was set on fire after trying on so many clothes and it took me a healthy couple of hours until I reached important decisions.
I liked quite a few things, but truth is I have managed to drop a size and my new size was out of stock. It is only when I am trying on clothes that I realize whether I have put on weight or I have shifted some.

Who has been to Zara recently and what have you bought guys? Any good purchases?
Have a fantastic day!
